This cache contains a unique stamp which must stay with the cache. Use this stamp to mark your passport. This stamp is NOT a trade item. Some of the items in the cache are park souvenirs and do not need to be replaced with a trade item.
Located on the Western portion of the park, this undeveloped area was, as much of the surrounding lands, part of a homestead and farm - as evidenced by the old stone foundation you will find here. Currently there are no MAINTAINED trails out this far - (there is a marked trail in the vacinity of GZ, pink logger flagging tape in the thicker under growth... this will become the future route of a maintained trail). Be advised, THERE IS NO CELL SERVICE out here. Bear sightings are also not unheard of, so take precaution by making noise (singing, 'bear bells', etc) as you hike out here. There are plans to make a trail system out here by the end of 2016, at least a rudimentary one.... for now, enjoy the bushwack! THIS IS A TOUGH HIKE. TAKE PRECAUTION. NO MAINTAINED/GROOMED TRAILS. SOME SIGNIFICANT BUSHWACKING AND STEEP TERRAIN. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED.
UPDATE: 8.23.16 - a new trail has been constructed, starting at the parking coords given.
