This Cache is placed as part of the 2016 New York State Park Central Region Geocache Challenge. There are 70 geocaches hidden within 20 state parks and historic sites in this parks region, and geocachers finding 40 or more will be eligible to enter their names in a drawing for valuable prizes. The first 100 people to find 40 or more caches will receive a special geocache challenge coin. If you are interested in taking up the challenge, you can pick up a geocache passport at any of the participating parks and sites or download it at www.nysparks.com
NYS Parks Saratoga - Capital Region will be hosting a similar challenge!! 10 caches found in the Sara-Cap Region Challenge can be used toward the Central Challenge (and visa versa)!

This cache contains a unique stamp which must stay with the cache. Use this stamp to mark your passport. This stamp is NOT a trade item. Some of the items in the cache are park souvenirs and do not need to be replaced with a trade item.
This ammo can has been placed along Andy’s Trail - Orange Loop. Note: The Orange Trail markers have faded to a yellow color. Trail maps are available at the Park Office and at the kiosks near the parking lots. It contains plenty of SWAG. Please follow the trail until your GPS indicates the cache is perpendicular to where you are on the trail. Look in the likeliest spots. The title should help. When placed, this cache was completely hidden so as not to be visible from the trail. Please replace it accordingly.
NOTE: Please don't give geocachers a bad reputation, by ignoring park rules. Park only in designated areas. Geocaching is allowed year round from 8:00 AM to sunset. Geocachers are expected to use the trails when looking for caches. Please do NOT stop your cars on the park roads with flashers on!! There have already been complaints at this park. Please do NOT disturb park guests by hiking between the cabins as a short cut to the next cache.
