Dairy Delight Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

EvieMcC: Moving house unfortunately! Since the Cache is on private property (just!) and how far I will be moving, it will be impractical to maintain my cache! Feel free to visit the area though, the info on the archive still stands. :) Thanks for visiting!

Geocache Description:

This cache is traditional but with a difference. It can be found on private land (e.g. my house) but I have permission from my parents to put it here. The cache has room for small swaps and trackables and has a log book in there for you to sign. There is a pencil in the cache but just in case, bring a pen or pencil. happy caching!

Ruardean is an ancient village, with an excellent 11th Century pub within 150ft of the cache. With evidence of occupation for over 2,000 years, the road in front of the cache is also Roman in age. A natural spring can also be found 150ft up Caudle Lane. Marvel at the parish church and the outstanding views across to the Brecon Beacons. There are excellent viewpoints close to the village, in Eddy's Lane, where it is possible to see for around forty miles, from the Malvern Hills to the Black Mountains, with the Wye valley below. The cache is in the owner's house and is accessible from The Square. The building itself is a seventeenth century public house, long since converted, and with its last use as a dairy, with an ice cream shop attached. The building is now a private residence. You should not need to enter the garden to find the cache.
