Welcome to Winsport, home of The Calgary Inferno!!! Exactly 10 years after the Calgary hosted the winter Olympics here, Women’s hockey made it’s Olympic debut in Nagano, Japan. If this were a movie, right about now we'd cut to a young RachOfMotion’s bedroom, circa 1998. The scene would show a wall dedicated to newspaper clippings related to the event, with photos of Hayley Wickenheiser, Danielle Goyette and Jennifer Botteril. Growing up, these women were our idols. These days, little girls wake up for 6am practice dreaming of becoming the next Breanne Jenner, Natalie Spooner, Meaghan Mikkelson, or Rebecca Johnston. Regardless, we’d like to dedicate this cache to the women of Canada’s national team- past, present, and future.
