Please do not access it through the back alley. Permission was received to place the cache in its location. In the late 1800s some of the Chinese residents of Deadwood, SD decided to leave the rough and tumble mining town and try to find their way in neighboring locals. Sundance was one of the villages they moved to. On this spot in 1896, a thriving business named The Chinese Wash House resided. No records show how long that laundry business lasted. In the 1950's this address was the site of a barber shop, complete with the red and white barber pole out front. Gentlemen came from miles around to have Cecil Crago give them a close shave and cut their hair. If you try real hard you may still smell the aroma of laundry soap and hair tonic that were such a big part of this location.
