The word “apostle” means ‘one sent’ as messenger, authorized agent or missionary. The word became an official title for Jesus’ 12 disciples after his death and resurrection. The 12 were sent out in pairs to strengthen and encourage each other, teamwork with others will strengthen us as well, searching for that elusive cache that will bring the ‘smiley’. Geocaching will not let me put out caches in pairs but I hope teamwork will help you find them.
Philip was accounted with being a fisherman by trade. He had a questioning attitude and was heard to question how Jesus would feed the 5,000 (which he did) and also ask Jesus to show his followers God the Father. Jesus’ response was a question, asking, if Philip realized that to know and see Him was to know and see the Father!
