Anemone Nemorosa, Vitsippa är en flerårig ört som har en lång krypande jordstam, vilket gör att den breder ut sig och bildar stora bestånd där den trivs. De tre stjälkbladen (svepebladen) är skaftade och flikiga och den vita blomman sitter oftast ensam i stjälkens topp. Blommorna är bara öppna på dagen, på kvällen sluter de sig och böjer sig ner mot marken. Den blommar i april-maj och frukterna är mogna redan i början av juli, efter fruktsättningen vissnar hela örten bort.
