This is a nice easy stroll out across the Marsh from the village of Penrhyndeudraeth (referred to locally as Penrhyn). Fred Dog loves his morning walk on the Marsh and he is a friendly soul, especially if you have a doggy treat in your pocket! So if you pick the right time of day to hunt this cache down you may see him sniffing through the grass.
You are looking for a 35 mm film cannister.
This path goes out across the Marsh firstly crossing the Railway Line so please be careful and look out for approaching trains and keep your eyes on your geohounds and geokids. The start of the path is off the road that leads up from Penrhyndeudraeth Railway Station where there is room for a few cars to park. Near to the Station is Sidetracked Penrhyndeudraeth GC5K479.
It is not ideal for wheelchairs or pushchairs as the path though wide and level is made up of ballast type rock. If the wheelchair/pushchair is an all terrain type than you should be able to get to the cache without too much difficulty otherwise it is likely to be slightly difficult going
Parking can also be found in the Villiage Carpark in the High Street or there is limited on street parking on the roads around but please be considerate of Residents.
Two other Caches can be seen from Fred the Geohound and are in easy reach by road, :Pont Briwet GC600GX and the crafty Sidetracked - Llandecwyn GC5QCHK across the other side of the river - that one took me several goes to get! See if you can do better!
The Cache just has a log book and being a film cannister has no room for swops or trackables. Don't forget to bring your pen/pencil. And bring your camera as on nice days there are oftern stunning views down towards the sea and Porthmerion.
