Lieutenant Colonel Tim Wingfield flew 200 combat missions in Vietnam ( Oregon Mo 40) has lost his last battle. He fought a brave fight against cancer and won but, something else took him down on January 12th 2016. He was a husband, a father, a grandfather, a geocacher and a friend. I was looking for a place for the cache when I stopped at a spot and I found a brand new American flag. I new he was telling me this was the spot. Now the flag is gone and now it's surrounded by white roses. Still a fitting place.
I wanted to let anyone interested to know that we will be celebrating Tim's life on July 7 at 11:00 at Rolling Hills Community Church in Tualatin prior to his inurnment at Willamette National Cemetery. There will be a light lunch following the service. All of Tim's geocaching friends are welcome.
