Porta San Tomaso è una porta che si apre sulle mura cinquecentesche di Treviso. Si colloca nella zona nordorientale del centro, rivolgendosi all'attuale strada Pontebbana diretta a nord. È certamente la più maestosa delle tre porte, interamente rivestita da elementi decorativi in pietra d'Istria che riprendono lo schema degli archi trionfali classici. Il tutto è concluso da una peculiare cupola in legno e piombo. Il leone di San Marco che spicca al centro del fronte esterno, benché antico, non è l'originale essendo stato qui collocato nel 1857.
Fu eretta nel 1518 dal podestà Paolo Nani (doveva infatti chiamarsi "porta Nana" ed è sovrastata da una statua raffigurante San Paolo) su progetto, forse, di Guglielmo Bergamasco. Il nome rimanda a una vicina chiesa dedicata a San Tommaso di Canterbury, andata distrutta. Fra il 1910 e il 1938 la porta fu attraversata del binario della linea 1 della rete tranviaria di Treviso.
Da fine 2011, in occasione del termine della ristrutturazione delle due facciate della porta, è stata chiusa al traffico dei veicoli a motore. Prima di tale data, infatti, era uno dei collegamenti fra la circonvallazione interna e quella esterna (PUT) e permetteva, a senso unico, di collegare piazzale Burchiellati con viale Fratelli Cairoli, nei pressi di viale Vittorio Veneto (strada Pontebbana).

Porta San Tomaso is a door that opens on the sixteenth-century walls of Treviso. It ranks in the northeast of the center, addressing the current road Pontebbana direct north. It is certainly the most impressive of the three doors, covered by decorative elements of Istrian stone that reflect the pattern of the classical triumphal arches. The whole is concluded by a peculiar wooden dome and lead. The lion of San Marco that stands at the center of the external front, though ancient, is not the original having been placed here in 1857.
It was erected in 1518 by the mayor Paolo Nani (had in fact called "Nana door" and is topped by a statue of St. Paul) on the project, perhaps, William Bergamasco. The name refers to a nearby church dedicated to St. Thomas of Canterbury, was destroyed.
Between 1910 and 1938 the door was crossing the rail line 1 of the tram network of Treviso. Since the end of 2011, on the occasion of the completion of the restructuring of the two facades of the door, it was closed to traffic for motor vehicles. Before that date, in fact, it was one of the connections between the inner and outer ring road (PUT) and allowed, one-way, connecting square Burchiellati with Viale Fratelli Cairoli, near Viale Vittorio Veneto (Pontebbana road).
