Geocache Description:

A long time ago, Captain Red Beard the Pirate sailed his mighty treasure heavy vessel up the Bayou and ran it aground while fleeing the Cajuns. He ditched the treasure and left clues to find it upon his return.

Map

Captain Red Beard did not want the map or his treasure to fall into the wrong hands so he left a clue near the treasure site so that only he could access the loot! All he and his crew had to leave the clue was an old metal mast. The planted the metal mast with the clue attached on the high point of the levee near the bayou and marked it on the map.

Captain Red Beard never returned for the treasure but see if you and your crew can figure it out. You can park at the end Foisy Street, the skull and crossbones, at the beginning of the walking trail. You will need to find the clue marked as a waypoint on the map - looking for a metal mast. After you have the clue, proceed to the cache. You will be looking for a treasure chest at the edge of the bayou. Watch you step and for alligators or muggles on the walking trail. When you hear loud noises, you are getting close. Daylight hours only.

Original contents of the container: leather log, pirate gold coins, trade items, travel bugs, 2 stamps, orange ink pad, 4 different sized containers with logs (ready to go caches)
