Geocache Description:

Part of the series of terrain level one geocaches within Indiana Dunes State Park, Chesterton IN. Caches are suitable for hiker, bicyclist, cross country skier, or person in wheelchair. Admission to the park is 7 dollars for IN residents.

There are a couple of un-activated travel bug tags for the first to find.

This short multi-cache will show you some of the historic gems and interesting facts located near the main parking lot as you hunt for the cache treasure.

The published coordinates are a great place to start and will bring you to the propeller from the doomed steamship, the J.D. Marshall.

After reading the interpretive sign and learning about the 1911 wreck and the nearby historic Beach Pavilion, you can proceed to the cache which is:

1) 0.12 miles from the J.D. Marshall propeller
2) 0.12 miles from Sit and Ponder it...(GC672YW)
3) 0.37 miles from Cache and Release (GC6920X)
4) 0.54 miles from Better Go Now (GC67H39)
5) 0.65 miles from Buzz Off (GC63Y9D)

The cache is a magnetic lock and lock type cache.

Good luck and enjoy the hunt and the rest of the Dunes State Park.

If you need help figuring this out, please do not hesitate to contact me. I am always happy to help out and would rather have you get a smiley than leave it unfound.
