The P!nk series - 8 'Dear Mr. President' Traditional Cache

P!nk is my all time idol, she is a great singer and performer, she's a strong woman in many ways but as soft as a teddy bear, even more so now she has a family of her own. I must have been listening to her music for the past 16 years and I still never get bored of it so thought I would make a series of my favourite tracks from her 'Greatest Hits.....So far!!!' album.

'Dear Mr. President' is another song from P!nk's 'I'm not dead' album and ìs an open letter to the then president of the United States,  George W Bush.

The song criticises several areas of Bush's administration and terms in office including the Iraq war, no child left behind act, disapproval of equal rights for homosexuals, lack of empathy for the poor and middle class citizens,  Bush's strong religious beliefs,  and his drinking and drug usage in college. 

P!nk felt that this song was one of the most important songs she had ever written.

This song was accredited platinum in Austria and Germany,  and gold in Australia.
