Greetings everyone!
This cache is very unique. It is placed here on the Hocking College campus for my Interpretive Guide Techniques class. I decided to do my presentation on Geocaching, because what's better than that, right? Informing your friends about Geocaching and teaching them the rules and etiquette of this fun activity is a great way to encourage adventure. I challenge you to not only find this geocache, but introduce a friend to this fun and exciting activity!
Because this cache is placed here for my Interp class, I would like to give you guys some information about Interpretation courtesy of the NAI (National Association of Interpretation) website, because not everyone knows about it which I find to be such a shame.
Quoted from NAI:
Interpreters connect visitors to important natural, cultural, and historical resources at parks, nature centers, historical sites, aquariums, zoos, and anywhere that people come to learn about places. NAI defines as "a mission-based communication process that forges emotional and intellectual connections between the interests of the audience and the meanings inherent in the resource."
Interpretation is amazing because it can inspire people to make great changes in the world!
"Through interpretation, understanding.
Through understanding, appreciation.
Through appreciation, protection."
