Located between South Grape Creek and Snail Creek. You can drive and walk right up to the clue.
This place dates back to the 1800's. It was a community trading post and was one of the few that never broke a peace treaty with the Comanche Indians whom they bartered and traded with. For generations families came here for reunions, weddings, Schuetzen Fests (Shooting Contests), Saengerfests (German song fests), and the yearly school closing. It is now REALLY famous. To verify that you have found it, what was Hondo's middle name? Email me, please do not put on site even if encrypted. You will need to use your GPS, as there are no signs identifing this place. The Texas Highway Department has refused to place the signs.
