Enjoy a drive up the National Scenic Byway Highway 38 to Effie. Then continue north 1.5 miles on County Highway 5 to find the cache hidden among young aspen trees that have grown back since a timber harvest 30 years ago.
July is hot and buggy so seek this geocache in early spring before the ticks are thick in May or come during the beautiful fall season. Wear orange during hunting seasons starting in September. Park off the highway and hike westward on the logging road that is a groomed snowmobile trail in the winter. You will see a tall oak towering over the smaller trees beyond which the cache is hidden, Be gentle with the fragile natural vegetation when removing it.
After finding the cache, you might like to drive north about 5 miles to visit a small county park at the Little American Falls on the Bigfork River.
