De Withoefse Heide is een relatief klein stuk natuurgebied tussen de 'grote' heide in Kalmthout en het station van Heide. Veel fiets- en wandelpaden komen door dit mooie stukje natuur. De cache ligt op een knooppunt van veel wegen. Tip: volg de vlinderwandeling van 2,5km!

The Withoefse Heide is a rather small nature reserve that is located between the 'large' Kalmthoutse Heide and the railway station. A lot of bike and walking tracks pass via this beautiful spot of nature. The cache is located at a crossroad of these tracks. Hint: follow the butterfly walking track - it leads you in about 2,5km through this part of the Heide.
Popular facts (or urban legends): in the sixties Mobutu (Zaires ex president) would have planned to build a theme park at this spot. And it's told that once there was an airfield here. To be sure: 40 years ago an airplane wreck was present...
