Geocache Description:

The 38th parallel is roughly the border between South and North Korea. It has great political significance. The United States has many Veterans of the Conflict fought between the two Koreas. As I passed through this area, I thought it was admirable that markers had been placed here and I really thought there should be a geocache here. Longitude and Lattitude, after all, are significant in Geocaching, as well.

The 38th parallel north is a circle of latitude that is 38 degrees north of the Earth's equatorial plane. It crosses Europe, the Mediterranean Sea, Asia, the Pacific Ocean, North America, and the Atlantic Ocean. The 38th parallel north formed the border between North and South Korea prior to the Korean War. Here is a short article about the 38th parallel and how relates to the Koreas.

There is plenty of room to get completely off the road. I suggest parking on the East side of the road. Your'e looking for a regular sized ammo can. It shouldn't be difficult to find.
