Geocache Description:

This cache is part of my Irishon series, where every cache has something to do with Irish music :)

did you know? the Rishon Lezion flag is orange

I love Irish music, I love geocaching - why not both

Rising of the Moon is an Irish ballad recounting a battle between the United Irishmen and the British Army during the Irish Rebellion of 1798.

The ballad's singer is told that the "pikes must be together at the rising of the moon" to engage in rebellion. The pikemen gather, but are defeated. Despite the loss, the listener is told that there are those will "follow in their footsteps" to again revolt. - Wikipedia

One of my High-Kings' favourite hits!

Also, the beauty of Irish folk music is that you can find tens of cover versions to most songs, to meet your personal taste of the Irish/Celtic music :)  - Wind0w (CO)

A moment of history:

Following the 1917 Balfour decleration ("His Majesty's government view with favour the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people..." ) and UN resolution 181 of November 1947, the British Army have left the land of Israel by June 30th 1948.

Before Israel became a state (May 14th 1948), three major Jewish paramilitary/rebelionist organizations had operated within its area: Hagana ("The Defense"), Etzel (abbr. Zionist Fighting Organization) and Lechi (abbr. Fighters for the Freedom of Israel).

REFERENCE POINT: Not far from GZ you'll find the Israeli Workers' Council building, and a park with benches and some trees. That place used to be a Hagana camp.

About the cache:

GPS isn't very good at GZ. this is on the Jabotinsky st, sidewalk next to the junction with HaTomer street. (stay on Jabotinsky to retrieve, not HaTomer)

You're looking for a black micro, about 5cm long.

BYOP! NO NEED TO CLIMB ON ANYTHING
