This cache has been placed near a popular local walk which takes you past the Cloak farm and on to an old military road and then past the old Stothert memorial church which has recently been purchased by the Lumphanan heritage society and been used again for weddings.It also takes you near some other caches.
Parking is available in Station Square and if you head to the trailhead this takes you on to a path named Lovers lane.Follow this to the first waypoint (you will pass the Lumphanans lost line cache!)which takes you onto a farm track which is a right of way and turn left.Follow this track to the 2nd waypoint which takes you to the farm yard,don't worry you are still on the right of way.The track veers right up a steep hill,follow this onto the tarred road and to the gate at the 3rd waypoint which is the start of the Old Military Road.Stay on this track and you should pass the last waypoint which is a bench with an interesting poem on it.There may be sheep grazing on and around this path so be aware!Keep on going on the path and the cache is located off the path slightly.You can either return the way you came or you can carry on the old military road till you come to another gate where you meet another path which will take you back to the village if you turn left,or if you turn right you could locate the Lumphanans Looty Cache which is a little bit further up the path.
