This is a series for those who like a power trail in the countryside walking alongside all the wildlife that can be found along the beautiful Marriott’s Way.
On 1st October 2018, I (Geopathic*) adopted this series from StickBouncer. His aim of the series was to bring people to the place he loves to walk his two dogs Trip and Bouncer and now I will be walking it with my geodog Dylan and my trusty assistant HappyRambler who has volunteered to help me keep StickBouncer’s series going for you all to continue to enjoy.
Marriott’s Way is a 26 mile long footpath, bridleway and cycle route which runs along the old railway line between Norwich and Aylsham. There is a variety of wildlife to be seen such as birds, deer, hare and rabbit, other small animals and different varieties of butterflies and plants. Please bare this in mind when hunting for caches and respect your environment :)
The route is suitable for all ages and is relatively safe so great for people with dogs and young children. Most of it is pushchair and wheelchair accessible although some of the caches may be difficult to collect from the path and some parts of the path may be difficult to navigate. There is parking at different stages so easy to break up the series in to more manageable sections. The caches are a mixture of everything and anything so keep your eyes peeled and please bring your pen and tweezers and anything else you think you may require ;)
As you can imagine, maintaining a large series is quite time consuming so if you are able to replace the logs if they are full I would be very grateful.
Most of all, have a great time geocaching!
