Another step along “The Road Less Travelled”
This is the Sunny Corner Cemetery which is just off the main road.
The cemetery is hidden by bush from the road but there is a cemetery signpost at the entrance track. It covers about 20 acres and is laid out in denominational portions.
It had long been overgrown by trees and scrub and many of the graves, although enclosed by wrought iron or concrete surrounds, have no headstones and many of those that remain are difficult to access.
No less than 156 people are known to have been buried here.
This one should be a quick and easy find, with easy parking.
