It is believed that this old cabin site is the location of a Girl Scout hut called on maps "Betsy Ross" cabin. Through a lot of reseach we have been unable to come up with the reason why it was called Betsy Ross cabin. Back in the late 1920's, several cabins were built throughout Warner Parks for both girl scout and boy scout troops. Today only one lodge remains which is still in use by Girl Scout troops and park educational programs. Enjoy your visit.
