This cemetery is one of many extremely small cemeteries across the region with headstones dating back to the early settler days before the names Leamington (which was incorporated in 1876) or Wheatley (which was incorporated May 1, 1914) ever came to be here.

Robert Fox headstone
There are headstones here from the earliest burials of folks in the community such as Robert Fox, who lived from 1812 to 1842 and passed at the young age of 30, and whose headstone is broken by a tree that has grown at his gravesite, to the most "recent" of Benjamin QUICK who lived from 1818-1876 and passed at the age of 58 years, 6 months, and 3 days.
Benjamin Quick headstone
This one is Maintained by Municipality of Leamington and is no longer in use as an active burial ground, however some of the names that you may see here have descendents that are prominent to the community to this day.
Take a moment and enjoy the architecture of the headstones that are here and remember that there is a great amount of history that many folks pass-by every day. All you need to do sometimes is stop and take note, even for just a moment.
If you have any further information on this cemetery, please let me know and i will add it to the information on this page.
