Geocache Description:

I was on my way to complete the Constellation series in Kowen Forest when I thought this would be a good place for a cache. To any new cachers who want to do the constellation series, this is where you should park!

The only downside to this cache is the accessibility....I was able to get to the parking area with a small Subaru Liberty but i strongly suggest getting this cache with a vehicle that can handle alot of bumps and jumps! I was worried about getting stuck at the entrance off the Kings Highway when i came back down.

Red belly Blacks are of course another venemous species in the ACT and are considered deadly if the bite is left untreated, however no human has ever died from a Red belly bite! They are inoffesive and prefer to move away or bluff, if you step on the tail it will usually knot its tail and smack you with the tail (giving the illusion of a strike).

Males grow to over 2m and the females only half of that length.

In that ACT it is widespread except in the high apline areas and the drier hills and ridges. The most popular area to see them is along the Murrumbidgee River.

Their favorite foods include frogs, lizards, small mammals, young turtles, fish and other snakes.
