my distant cousin George Washington , who would become Americas first president, on my mothers side of the family,on his journey down the Ohio river on Wednesday Oct 24 1770, noted in his diary " at the mouth of this creek ( captina) we came about 3 o'clock in the afternoon and finding nobody there, we agreed to camp." camped on return trip Nov. 14  1770 just above the mouth of creek.  the mouth of the creek is east of the sign.the coordinates will lead you to the sign in the park , the cash is close by. beware of mug gels
