Geocache Description:

A simple trad initially for the amusement of attendees at KT50 event

The 121 caches of KT Power between Macclesfield and Kidsgrove came about following a days caching in Essex on the Chelmer and Blackwater navigation. The trail has proved so popular that we celebrate now not 50000 finds but already nearly 53000.

The idea did not go down well with one person and shortly after publication the whole trail was disabled after a complaint by a cacher that the hides contravened the rules However some of the numbers gang had already down loaded the whole lot and galloped into the area. They 'modified' all of the deemed offending caches and disposed of all the yellow pipe bits originally designed to prevent the film pots from rolling away etc. Let's hope that the pipe did not end up as garbage in the canal. The attempted sabotage. was doomed to failure and 115 cages were quickly knocked up out of Weldmesh and the 15 mile walk repeated, (but in two bits!). Spare a thought for the poor reviewer, who as a result of the complaint had to disable then reenable 121 caches. Why? Just think how many key strokes were necessary 121times. A lot.

Buried caches are still being submitted for publication and for obvious reason as not popular with these COs, especially when trolled on 'anti social media' for stating a dislike for them.

Some cachers like Challenge caches but happily Groundspeak seem to be think that they get treated as Virtuals (like those cachers who don't submit Logging requirements for Earthcaches) So this is offered as a Pseudo 'challenge'. It's quite simple, you find a cache that starts with a number 1, then one with number 2 and so on to 50000. When you complete the Pseudo challenge e-mail us and we will present you with your personalised mug.

Thanks are due to those cachers who carry a spare film pot with them, as my late mother often said a little help is worth more than a lot of pity, and to the national chain chemists who so kindly saved the empty film pots for us.
