Geocache Description:

Welcome to Longview, WA and if you like squirrels and bridges, I think you will like this multi-stage cache. The 5 virtual stages will take you by each bridge where you will need to gather some information to solve for the final stage. You can find more information about the squirrel bridges at Nutty Narrows Squirrel Bridge.

This cache have been approved by the Longview Parks and Recreational Department...I want to thank them for giving permission for placing caches to show off our Beautiful Park...Please be respectful of the area.

A big thank you to bearsandme as she got permission from the Parks Department and helped me place the cache.

Congrats on FTF to LayDBugz

I know most people do not like multi-stage caches but this one you should enjoy since it takes you to each of the squirrel bridges. If additional bridges are added in the future, I'll be adding them to the tour.

You can drive to each of the coordinates or walk; the walk being under 1.5 miles one-way. There is parking on the street at each bridge on the street and some of the streets are busy so please keep an eye on the kids and pets. The final stage is under a 1/2 mile from the last bridge.

Remember have fun, see the bridges, maybe see a squirrel use the bridge and enjoy the time with your family.

Stage 1: Is at N 46 08.494 W 122 56.429

Why not start at the beginning. We start with the first bridge that was put up in Longview in 1963. When you look at the sign on the bridge what day in the month of March was the bridge placed?

With this number A = (Day -12)

Looking at the bottom of this bridge how many blocks of wood are used to support the bridge?

B = Number of Letters

Now for the final stage:

With the answers you got above place them into the coordinates below and head to the cache.

N46 07.ABC W122 5G.DEF

The checksum of A+B+C+D+E+F+G = 37

Remember some of the streets are busy so please keep an eye on the kids and pets.
You are looking for a Medium Sized Waterproof Container..It has lots of nice Sway in it for the kids..Please trade fairly so others will be excited too...Be as stealthy as possible..Lots of eyes watching you here...Please rehide as good as you found it or better.
