Fairview Chapel is a quaint stone chapel built in 1847. Regular services were held until the early 1930's when it was abandoned due to falling membership. After that, the building and grounds fell into disrepair and deteriorated to the point that the original roof fell into the interior and the ruins were covered with vegetation.
In 1983, a private group of citizens rebuilt the church, cleared the cemetery and made repairs Today, non-denominational services are held on a regular basis. Those attending are treated to services by candlelight and oil lamplight with an antique pump organ as accompaniment.
The cemetery is very interesting as it contains many very old graves Some of the stones list birth dates from the late 1700's.
