San Ramon was once home to the Seunen Indians. After 1797 it was Mission San Jose grazing land; later it included Jose Maria Amador's 16,000 plus acre Rancho San Ramon. American settlers first came to San Ramon in 1850 when Leo and Mary Jane Norris purchased 4,450 acres of land from Amador. In 1852 Joel and Minerva Harlan bought land from Norris and built a house on what became the Alameda-Contra Costa County line in 1853. The county line shifted more and more while time went by.
The posted coordinates will bring you to the old house where the first Alameda-Contra Costa County line was put. Nobody lives in this house anymore and my friends and I like to think its haunted. Like every house, this place has an old address, which you will use to get the final coordinates. Please do mind the thorns while hunting for this one.
The final coordinates are N 37 AB.CDE' W 121 FG.HIJ' when...
