"Danger Will Robinson" were the oft repeated words from the robot, a Class M-3 Model B9, General Utility Non-theorizing Environmental Control Robot. Lost in Space was based on the comic book Space Family Robinson and aired from 1965 to 1968. The spaceship Jupiter 2 attempts to visit a planet for possible colonization. The mission is sabotaged by the evil Dr. Smith who slips aboard the spaceship and reprograms the robot to destroy the ship and crew. Inadvertently trapped aboard the ship, Smith saves himself by saving the crew. The ship is saved but the damage leaves them lost in space. The sereis starred Guy Williams and June Lockhart as the Drs. Robinson, Mark Goddard as Major Don West, Marta Kristen, Angela Cartwright and Billy Mumy as the Robinson children. Jonathan Harris stars as Dr. Smith and Bob May as the robot.
