Does bushwacking up and down hills over and over and over again excite you? Do your dreams consist of sweating and cramping and heaving as you slog up and down ridges, forcing your protesting legs to carry you atop one ridge, only to moan softly in dread as you look across to the next ridge you will need to conquer to get to the next geocache? Then "The Catamount" and the other nearby geocaches are just what you've been waiting for.
There are many great spots to pull off and park along Round Mountain road. If you plan to grab all four of the Crucible caches, study the map before you leave and plan a route that looks best for you. No matter how you attempt them, there will be lots of up and down hiking, up some moderately steep ridges. Take plenty of water for your journey. You can probably find all these and get back to your car in about 1.5 hours. That's about how long it took for me to place all four.
You are seeking traditional ammo can, containing a logbook, a pen, and a few small trinkets for any kids you may have with you. There is room for tradables, travel bugs, and geocoins. I would bring an extra pen in case the one I provided in the cache turns up missing or won't write.
