This walking tour of Geneva-on-the-Lake's unique sites premiered the weekend of June 13-14, 2015. The GOTL Summer Fun Heritage Trail is a series of interpretive signs along Route 531, “The Strip,” or business district of Geneva-on-the-Lake, Ohio’s original and oldest summer resort town!
For decades GOTL Ohio has been the summer playground of choice for tens of thousands of northeast Ohio and northwest Pennsylvania residents. A free flyer is available at the Visitors Bureau to assist visitors during their self-guided walking tour. Interpretive signs at each site tell the big story of the resort. Look for 20 of these signs along The Strip during the Summer of 2015 season. Another 10-20 signs will be added annually.

I am planning a commemorative pathtag for the finders of this cache. Due to production issues the tag is not yet available. However, I left some envelopes in the cache and if you write your name on one, I will send you a tag when they come in. Thanks again for taking the tour and finding my cache.

Your journey begins at the listed coordinates where you will find a sign...... Heritage Trail - Geneva Township Park and Schoolhouse. In the school year of 1909-1910, the district moved to centralized the school system and students from this district began attending a new schoolhouse on Route 534. A=the district number of these students plus the number of rooms in their new schoolhouse.
