In 2013 we were fortunate enough to stay with a Geo-caching family in Johannesburg. Apart from taking us to some remarkable geo-caches in the area Sylvia and Rolf introduced us to their letterbox caches which adhere to the geo-caching guidelines for such caches. Rolf is also a brilliant builder of caches (mostly wooden) and we decided that we would get him to send us a couple of his designs. The cache was cleverly and beautifully designed and built by Rolph so while you are quietly trying to find a way to open it bear a thought for the craftsmanship that went into its construction.
This cache begins as a simple letterbox cache. The cache is not located at the given coordinates but they are your starting point. Having located yourself at these coordinates you will need to walk 51 metres on a bearing of 65 degrees to locate the actual cache. Of course those of you who are competent with various forms of geo-tools could calculate the final location and a geochecker (below) will confirm your solution.
Once you have found the home of the cache your task will be to use your brains and your dexterity to find your way into the log. Do not force anything, it all happens quite simply when you get it right. To assist you in the process do not phone a friend.

Once inside the cache the log will be revealed and you will locate a stamp which may be used in the signing of the log.
Notes
No logs will be accepted unless the actual log within the cache has been signed.
Please remember how you found your way into the cache because you will need to close it in the reverse sequence. Please ensure that the cache is fully closed before you leave.
