There and many types of wildlife , plants and animals in this reserve from wallabies wombats, possums,lizards many variety of birds including water birds. The Reserve was named the Edward Hunter Heritage Bush Reserve after Narracan Shire councillor, Edward Hunter, for his dedicated services to the Moe community during the 1920s and ’30s. The reserve was originally set up as a catchment area to supply water to the moe railway station for steam trains and later on as a public swimming area which enjoyed many swimming carnivals. After a couple of drownings in the dam it was closed down as a swimming hole and the council build a purpose built swimming pool in vale st. Please enjoy your time in the reserve.
