Geocache Description:

Channel Island and Goat Island blend into one on the map, separated only at high tide near the mouth of the Maroochy River.

Thick with mangrove forests, these islands are part of the Maroochy River Conservation Park and protect an important fish and bird habitat.

A pleasant paddle from Picnic Point will take you to a small beach. Cross a spiky meadow (thongs would be handy) and you'll find your fishing location.

A plastic preform tube is what you are fishing for.

Enjoy a paddle around the rest of the islands and look out for birdlife including white-faced heron, great egret, pelican, intermediate egret and pied oystercatcher (just to name a few of those seen on the day the cache was hidden).

Congratulations to Spinna76, Stacevel, Suzy Squirrel and MinkosDes for Joint FTF!!!
