Geocache Description:

A small lock n lock on the side of Quabbin Trail

Help Us Make it a MEGA!

I had some caches ready to hide, so I took a walk along Quabbin Trail. You can choose whatever Gate you want to come in from, or come up from Goodnough Dike. I started at Gate 49 on Greenwich Plains Rd. From there you will walk about one mile, past six other caches, to a fork in the road. The right fork is Fisk Rd and another cache and a beaver pond. The left fork is Quabbin Trail. The terrain drops slowly to the water, but is gradual enough for a jogging type stroller. I spread eight caches along the next two miles. They are all lock n lock style containers. The two smallest I call micro, the two largest I call regular, then there are two small ones. The other two could be small or regular so I called them one of each. This is the Quabbin, so watch for ticks, and two caches have an issue with thorns. It took me an hour to walk back to gate 49 from the last cache, so, you should plan on about two to two and a half hours of hiking plus another hour or so for finding and logging. Add more if you are doing the Greenwich Plains Rd caches along the way.
