'Kurome River' is the medium size river which assumes 'Saikachi-Kubo' of the Kodaira Cemetery the source of a river.
We can walk comfortably by a river.
When large rain falls in Kodaira Cemetery , a big puddle appears at
'Saikachi-Kubo'.
This big puddle becomes the source of a river of 'Kurome River'.
As for current 'Kurome River', a flow of the water started a side of 'Shin
Omekaido Street' .
We can look a flow of the water from the sidewalk of 'Shin Omekaido Street'.
Furthermore, this river join Higashikurume-shi, Niiza-shi, Asaka-shi and the
flow Shingashi River.
"Kami" is added to the name of the bridge, because this bridge was upper from Ochiuma Bridge.
"Ochiuma Bridge" is a bridge that spans the old Koganei Road (Kamakura road).
Because samurai fell from the horse at the edge of the bridge at Edo era , people called this name .

黒目川は小平霊園のさいかち窪を水源とする中小河川です。
さいかち窪は大雨が降ると大きな水たまりが出現します。
この大きな水たまりが黒目川の水源となっています。
現在の黒目川は新青梅街道を交差したあたりから水の流れが出てきます。
新青梅街道の歩道から水の流れを確認できます。
さらに東久留米市、新座市、朝霞市と流れ新河岸川に合流します。
上落馬橋は黒目川に架かる小金井街道の橋です。
「上」とついているのは「落馬橋」が下流にあるからです。
「落馬橋」は旧小金井街道（鎌倉道）に架かっている橋です。
江戸時代、武士が橋のたもとで馬から落ちたのでこの名前がついたということです。
