This cache is not along the trail. It can be found while shuttling vehicles, not recommended for retrieval by walking or biking.
Please be extra cautious from late October through mid January. That would be the times of various deer hunting seasons and you may have to watch for the hunters in trucks along the roadways. Be sure to wear some blaze orange clothing or hat. You do have permission to be in the places where the caches are hidden.

The Virginia State Star is located in beautiful, rural Pittsylvania County on the Ringgold Rail Trail where the old Richmond & Danville Railway ran. You'll pass through wooded areas, through wetlands and over a five arch stone bridge, all on a 5.6 mile long, finely graveled walking/biking path.
