Exciting news! If all goes according to plan, we will be having a video chat during this event with the inventor of the game, Cache Me If You Can!
This is an event that will hopefully be an ongoing event for many months to come. The goal of the event is to play geocaching related games and help teach others about geocaching games that are out there. It's a chance to preview the games before purchasing them, and an opportunity to learn the rules and play against other people who enjoy these kinds of games, too!
The event is open to the public and will be held at The Soldiery, 4256 N High St, Columbus, OH 43214. This is a gaming location and our games will be featured during this time. Anyone is welcome to join, and we may even have players who DON'T geocache show up to see what this is all about!
There will be at least three of the Cache Me If You Can! board games available and some of the First to Find card games around. This first event is primarily to teach everyone how to play, so take advantage of this opportunity! If we get through the initial explanation of the game and people want to learn about the Zombie Apocolypse Expansion game or the Superhero Expansion game, those will also be available!
They do not sell food at this location, but the location is open to everyone bringing food/snacks into the store, so feel free to grab supper, a late lunch, or snacks for your caching friends to enjoy! Please keep in mind these are games that local geocachers have graciously allowed us to use, so please be thoughtful about the messiness of the food you bring!
Since we are testing this out, even if you can't come, please post if you would be interested in FUTURE versions of this event, so we can see if this is something we want to host in the future. And please post a will attend if you ARE coming so we can plan for you. The available slots for games will be filled based on WILL ATTEND logs first and order of arrival at the event second.
