1 mile north of Cayuga and about 5 miles south of Mellen, turn West on Conley Road off of Hwy 13. Go a few miles and you'll park at a parking spot just west of the Bad River Bridge on the Conley Road and walk north up the railroad tracks. It'll be about a 3/4 mile walk up the tracks and when you get across the 3rd RR trestle start watching your GPS close. About 150 yards past the 3rd trestle you'll see orange flagging ribbon in the trees. The trail to the cache is that way. The very large ammo box is hidden very well so look close and don't give up. There is a legend of a silver mine very near here and with the cliffs above the river being very high and steep, the mine may be very close to here. The clues in the attached article point to this being the right area. I own land upriver from here a few miles and have found gold in the river. Here's the link to the article that talks about this mine. http://aimeedupre.blogspot.com/2007/12/legend-of-chief-namekagons-lost-silver.html It's been too many years since I experienced this location myself and I had the company of 2 awesome fellow geocachers I met to help place this cache. Thanks for the help Linda and Andy, it was awesome to spend the morning with you in such a cool place!
