Vranilac je najviši vrh Kalnika. Najviša točka rastrgane stjenovite gromade označena je geodetskim stupom, a malo niže pod vrhom stoji televizijski odašiljač. Od vrha prema sjeveroistoku strši niz stjenovitih zubaca, zvanih popularno Sedam zuba. Gledan izdaleka, Kalnik djeluje kao impozantan zid istegnut u pravcu jugozapad-sjeveroistok. Za razliku od većine drugih planina i brda u Hrvatskom zagorju ili na njegovu rubu, na Kalniku ćemo susresti slikovite okomite stijene. Vranilac je ujedno i najviši vrh Koprivničko-križevačke županije.
S vrha se pruža prostran vidik na Prigorje i Zagorje.

Većina posjetitelja izlete po Kalniku započinje kod planinarskog doma »Kalnik«, do kojega se može doći cestom iz smjera Križevaca. Cesta prema domu odvaja se od ceste Križevci – Gornja Rijeka te vodi preko sela Sudovca i Kalnika. Cesta je u zadnjem dijelu veoma strma (18%), pa se ne preporučuje neiskusnim vozačima. Od planinarskog doma do vrha može se stići na nekoliko načina, a najjednostavniji je uspon strmom uskom cestom koja vodi do odašiljača (potkraj se desno strmo uzbrdo odvaja staza na sam vrh). Od doma do vrha stiže se za 20 minuta. Put do vrha preko »Sedam zuba« preporučuje se samo vrlo iskusnim planinarima.

Vranilac is highest peak of Kalnik. The highest point of broken, craggy boulder marked with a geodetic post. A little below the peak is a television transmitter. From the top to the northeast are rocky teeth, popularly called the Seven teeth. Seen from afar, Kalnik acts as an imposing wall stretched in SW-NE direction. Unlike most other mountains and hills in the Croatian Zagorje, or on its edge, at the Kalniku we will encounter colorful vertical cliffs. Vranilac is also the highest peak in Koprivnica County.
On the top there is a wide view of the Prigorje and Zagorje.

Most visitors make trips to the Kalnik begins at the mountain lodge "Kalnik" that can only be reached by road from the direction of Krizevci. The road to the house is separated from the road Križevci - Gornja Rijeka and runs through the village Sudovec and Kalnik. The road at the end is very steep (18%), and is not recommended for the inexperienced drivers. Climbers to the summit can be reached in several ways, but the easiest is to climb steep narrow road that leads to the transmitter (at the end go right uphill and climb the trail to the top). From mountain house to the top is about 20 minutes. The road to the summit via the "seven teeth" is recommended only for highly experienced hikers.
