The cache is just down a light trail, just off the main fire road. There is some dense Poison Oak to the right, but you don't need to go anywhere near it. The cache will be just off the trail to the left in a spot which seemed free of noxious plants, though they tend to appear without notice at times.
This was a nice little secluded spot away from the dust of passing bikes in the mid afternoon. From the looks of the underbrush Periwinkle seem to grow here, in the shade of the young redwoods and a small Oak.
There may be some small sprigs of Poison Oak and small briars in the vicinity of the cache. As this is a remote and open place, be aware snakes, ticks and the occasional Drop Bear (only among Eucalyptus trees) may be in residence and accorded due respect.
