Finding this cache is only half of the fun: you've still got to get into it!
There are two ways to get into the cache. One is to turn up and persevere with the field 'puzzle' and the other is to have my trackable, Kezza's Key (TB6BZ5C) with you when you visit the cache!
The cache is placed in a small patch of woodland which has been in my family for many years. I spent countless weekends here as a child building dens, climbing trees and learning about the wildlife.
The tiny stream which runs through the woodland is the source of the Roman River, which continues past Colchester to join the Colne at Fingringhoe.
The area is also home to a thriving population of buzzards. They can often be seen in large numbers over the wood and the fields on the North side as birds from the local area congregate to hunt in these game-rich fields.
Please respect the area and don't stray too far from the public footpath that runs through the centre of the wood. The other tracks are all private.
GZ was easily accessible when I placed the cache, but please let me know if it becomes overgrown. Beware of nettles, brambles and mud!
Congratulations to AlyNorth and PuReWaRRioR69 on being joint first to find!
