Roads go ever ever on,
Over rock and under tree,
By caves where never sun has shone,
By streams that never find the sea;
Over snow by winter sown,
And through the merry flowers of June,
Over grass and over stone,
And under mountains in the moon.
Roads go ever ever on
Under cloud and under star,
Yet feet that wandering have gone
Turn at last to home afar.
Eyes that fire and sword have seen
And horror in the halls of stone
Look at last on meadows green
And trees and hills they long have known.
This long trail takes you on a quest to find Bilbo Baggins who has been lost. Each member of the company has braved over the edge of the wild lands to locate Bilbo. Can you help them? During your quest you could encounter orcs, goblins, wolves, giant spiders and maybe even Smaug the dragon (probably not though, just a few muggles with duggles most likely) you will have to traverse mountains, swamps and dangerous enchanted woods (ok just rosneath forestry).
Bombur is a bit of a prtly fellow and it didnt take him long before he needed to take a break, so he stopped here for a breather and some more food.
Path is a good stone track but can be very muddy at times so good boots or wellies is advised. Suitable for bikes or pushchairs but can be quite steep at places. Hides all near the main path but some can be trickier than others to reach so please take care.
Caches all contain logbook and some small swaps. Please replace caches exactly as found to help next cachers find it.
If coming from peaton hill please be aware this is the reverse path so this will need to be considered when looking for clues.
Written on the lid of each cache you will find one digit for the final coordinates of where Bilbo is located.
You will find Bilbo using the following code
N (Dwalin,Bombur)⁰ (Oin. Ori,Dori,Nori)
W (Bifur)⁰ (Bofur, Balin .Gloin,Kili,Fili)
Hints for where he is finally located can be found with Gandalf the Grey and Thorin Oakensheild.
Good luck on your quest and happy caching
