The first of hopefully several caches to be placed in the Listowel area. The aim is to try to have a cache from every category in the town or surrounds.
This cache is placed at the start (or the end) of the river walk, which leads from Listowel Town Park, along the River Feale to Listowel Castle and one of the entrances to the race course. Here you will be able to appreciate the magnificent five arch bridge spanning the River Feale which dates back to 1829.
The coordinates might not be 100% accurate due to tree cover, but the hint should make things obvious for you.
This cache brings you along the river walk but it is not anywhere near the river so there is no need to leave the path when you are hunting. Always be careful and keep an eye on children because at times the river can be pretty fast and deep. Also, when there is a lot of rain the river can swell and cover parts of the river walk and if that's the case it is not recommended to try to log this cache. Good luck. Many thanks to PoppyDuKerry for her help in finding this spot. Congratulations to Team Gallernick for the FTF.
This cache and others are placed with the cooperation and support of the Listowel Tidy Towns Committee, and as such are all CITO caches. If you can pick up one piece of litter and put it in the nearest dustbin it will make us all very happy. Hopefully there will be none to find, but be sure to mention it in your log if you do!
