On August 31, 2003, after receiving a GPSr from Amazon earlier that day, OzGuff registered as a member of Geocaching.com. The rest, as they say, is history. If you want to celebrate this anniversary, show up at the grassy area in front of Reuter YMCA at 8:00pm. The logsheet will only be available until 8:15pm.
Since this is the last day of August it will also be the last day to qualify for the "7 Souvenirs of August." [I'm not exactly sure why folks go crazy about souvenirs. Sort of seems like the Beanie Baby craze of the 90's -- you put a lot of time and effort into acquiring them, but then they aren't really worth anything.] So if you haven't already received your Socializer Souvenir, come on out and socialize.
