I Hovmantorp fanns en man som hette Simon Liljedahl och han arrenderade marken/fisket här på Prästanäset av kyrkan.
Då han var en eldsjäl och aktiv inom ungdomsfotbollen i Hovmantorps GOIF anlade han
(antagligen tillsammans med några likasinnade) en fotbollsplan här ute på näset.
Det är den som ni ser rester av här vi cachen.
Under många år på 70-80-talet och även in på 90-talet bedrev Hovmantorp Goif sin fotbollskola här ute.
Numer är sommarlovsskolan i fotboll flyttad till idrottsplatsen i Hovmantorp,
men den heter fortfarnade Simons fotbollskola,
som hyllning till en stor eldsjäl inom ungdomsidrotten i Hovmantorp
