These 519 acres were acquired through donation from Leonora Masterson in 1985.
The primary purpose of this state forest is resource education for adults and children. Sound scientific forest management that protects and perpetuates native flora and fauna is practiced. Forest management demonstration areas and sites exist throughout the forest. The Masterson Family retains a lifetime estate in the forest.
The Masterson State Forest is available during daylight hours by reservation only. Group resource education tours are available by appointment.
