Wigwam Point Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Cache-tech:

As there's been no communication from the cache owner, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Thank you

Geocache Description:

The first of two geocaches my partner and I hid today in the Bay of Exploits area...these would be our first hides as well. We decided to hide them at the request of comminity members as there are very few caches hidden in our area. Any feedback would be great!

This cache is found in an area called Wigwam Point, at the end of the community of Peterview. Wigwam Point is not far from the mouth of the Exploits River and is documented as the site of a Beothuk summer encampment prior to and during the first European settlement at Peterview.

To find the cache, you will need to take a quick walk across the clearing to get to a wooded area next to the beach.

The cache is a small, plastic lock container with a logbook and a few small 'treasures' to trade. You will need to bring a pen/pencil.
